One thing the Weisler family loves is your comments. We love reading what you think about our blogs, family, and websites. My Dad received this nice e-mail the other day– thank you Mr. Tom! : )

Kirk,
As normal… your emails are a motivation to me. I think a lot of great things about people that I work with… my daughter… my wife… but I assume that they know how I feel. I’ve not only heard your email message before, but said it to others… I’ll work on saying what I think more, so that I’m not relying on people to be mind-readers.
We drove from Ohio to Texas over the Easter break… we stopped along the long drive at a DQ for a short break and I loved the sign they had posted outside by the trashcan, so I had my daughter and her friend stand next to it… our Pastor often says that we need to leave our bad thoughts and baggage at the door… I’ll make sure I do this at home… because there’s no point in hauling a bad attitude into the house and throwing it away in a trashcan inside… I’ll keep those attitudes outside, so they don’t stink up out house
Hope you enjoy the picture.
I loved the “1 thing I love”.
Thanks for being who you are and helping your family to be the best they can.
- Tom
p.s. I also need to try doing a “kidnapping” with my family.

About three weeks ago my Dad took our family with him to Orlando while he was speaking at a hotel for HDI. One night the HDI group was having a party out by the pool. My two brothers and little sister Brooklyn were all with me as we sat in the hot tub. A little while later about six HDI people joined us. They were all discussing business and things like that and we didn’t talk much to them after telling them where we were from and our names. At some point they began talking about the speakers from the conference. And they mentioned Kirk Weisler, not knowing that we were his kids. I was really appreciative to know that all they had to say about my Dad was positive and the ones who had been to his presentations encouraged the others who hadn’t to go and listen to him. They had nothing but words of virtue for my Dad. It makes me feel good that people appreciate and love my dad, and even recommend him to others saying “You will not regret it, it will not waste your time.” and “He will bless your life.” Those words of virtue made me and my brothers smile at each other. Thank you, Brittany.

Hi Kirk,
I was really glad to be able to send two of my staff to your presentation yesterday at Creighton. Being able to send them there and knowing what it would do to them was my inspirational and motivating element.

But I tell you, the minute, the very minute these two individuals walked back in the office, everyone knew it!! The first sign that got me out of my office was laughter!!! Big ones!!! Not a common facial and vocal trait in a Service Desk…. Then of course, you should see the smiles on their faces… it made their ears look small so big and radiant their smiles were.

With the small team that we have, with no more than 6 or 7 people present at any given time but more commonly 4 or 5, having two contagiously radiant people is AWESOME!!!

Big thanks from your French Husker Friend!!!

Nicolas Lerouge

Kirk,

My team and I had the pleasure of attending the HDI session in Omaha a few days ago where you spoke at. It was very inspirational and my team loved it. Thanks again for inspiring my team and giving them a new “cork screw” activity that no one can stop showing off. -Dan Powers

Kirk, Just wanted to send a quick email thanking you again for speaking at the LMVHMA Communications meeting. I have been receiving so much positive feedback, even with the missing dessert the night was a huge success. You are a wonderfully entertaining speaker and we loved the stories. It was also a pleasure meeting your son Josh. He was such a gentleman. I am looking forward to reading some of the recommended books and hearing you again in the future. Thank you so very much.

Sincerely,

Linda French
LMVHMA 2nd Vice President

Kirk,

Meaningful (as always) to spend time with you at the Broadmoor.

The quote I sent out on twitter is:

“Kirk Weisler is a beacon of light for the dreary manager.”

I loved the Diamond transformation. Have you seen Diamond since?

Take care,
Brady Meltzer
Vice President
US Inside Sales
RightNow Technologies, Inc.

Kirk,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know how much it meant for me to hear your story today. I’m facing a big dragon right now and your message really hit home. You taking the time and initiative to sign a book for me was awesome and you truly made a difference in my life. Your passion and principles are powerful and poignant, and the presentation was priceless. (And I obviously loved the alliteration on the back cover of the book!)

Jason Lindeman

Kirk,
It was great to meet you in person this afternoon after the event at Emory.
Your presentation was great and really hit the nail on the head. I truly
enjoyed your stories and insight.

I wanted to take a moment, though, and thank you for the books and kind
words on my 30 year wedding anniversary. They made my day. Nancy, thought
the books and your kind words were great!

One thing that I have to work on is my interaction. You gathered lots of
info on me, but seemed like I should have been asking similar questions of
you. Talk about thinking about me….. Got to get over that. Kind of hit
me in the car driving home.

So you helped in several ways this afternoon. One, your great speech, two,
your kind words as I was leaving for home and three, reminding me that
learning about others is just as important as talking about myself. How is
that for some lessons. All very much appreciated!

Have a great weekend and thanks again!

Kirk

Thank you for speaking at Leadership Lynchburg yesterday. It was very refreshing, and eye opening. It reminded me of how the little things truly mean a lot. Your style and enthusiasm are “infectious”. Once again, thank you for sharing yourself with us. I believe that your presence will inspire everyone in that room yesterday to become “scoopers” in their work place and community.

Thank you again.

Hi Kirk,

Thank you so much for coming to speak with our management group and staying on to visit with the HR Leaders here in Lubbock. I have heard nothing but absolutely positive feedback and everyone is excited to have you come back. I wanted to share a few of the comments I received about you…

Kirk is the speaker who leaves you with more than you entered the room with.
He’s a genuine speaker who knows his stuff. He’s engaging.
He has a gift for speaking.
Kirk is a very genuine person, he is very endearing, he takes time out of his day to talk to strangers, he builds other people up, very encouraging, and opens himself up to criticism.
Valarie Boston
CIS/CRM Team Leader, Local Government Division

I would describe him as someone who is passionate about helping organizations improve their culture and as a result improve morale and the bottom line. His presentation was creative and engaging – never a dull moment. He speaks from experience and from broad study of the subject and lives the concepts he endorses. He uses practical stories that anyone can relate to in order to drive home his points.
One of the most engaging and personable speakers I’ve had the pleasure of sitting through.
Steven McGee
Manager of Hosted Operations, Local Government Division

It’s too bad you had so many delays while trying to leave Lubbock. I know that is very frustrating, no matter how positive of an outlook someone has! You have passed along a lot of great ideas, have inspired our leaders, and I think more about how I interact with everyone I have come across since you have been here. I have said many times to myself “my year will get better as I do” and I have no complaints from last year, but I strive to be better this year. Thanks again so much for the inspiration. We will be in touch regarding future training. Have a wonderful week!

Kindest Regards,

Hi Kirk,

It was great to hear you speak again today in Omaha, when I heard you
where coming in town I made sure that my work schedule was clear so that
nothing would get in the way of hearing you speak again and I’m very happy I
did. The last time I had heard you speak was in Dallas at the HDI
conference and I had learned so much from you, and hearing you speak again
today was as fantastic and inspiring. I was hoping to get back that
positive motivated and inspired feeling that I had after the HDI Conference
in Dallas that I had lost, you can say I had gone to the dark side, the
negative unhappy side. I let life kind of beat the happy positive side
out of me and could not seem to get it back, I would try but would seem
to always fall back to a side that I did not like but seem to always float
back too, and I think after listing to you speak today is that I was not
growing and learning, I was not bettering myself, you can say I would think
that life would get better by itself without doing anything to make it
better. I have learned a lot from you again today that I can apply at work
with my fellow co-workers and my customers and my personal life at home with
my wife and children. Thanks for everything that you do, you are a great
person and I have been very fortunate to here you speak twice now and I hope
to hear you speak again in the future.

Thanks again for speaking at our HDI meeting in Omaha and I hope to hear you
speak again in the future.

HI Kirk:
Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed your talk this
morning. I spoke with you briefly after the meeting and I told you that I
enjoyed your stories. It occurred to me that you may have misunderstood my
comment. For a story to be enjoyable to me it needs to have meaning, teach
me something or make me think. Otherwise it’s just a story. Your stories had
all 3 key elements. Thank you again for giving me an enjoyable morning.
Sincerely
John Gibbons

Kirk - I attended your presentation last week for the C3N Network in Louisville. I
had heard you speak a couple of years ago at work and really enjoyed it. But
I almost didn’t come last week because I thought I couldn’t take the
time…..I was too busy….I really didn’t need my spirits lifted or my
attitude changed…..I was “just fine”.
Well, your presentation was exactly what I needed…a real “awakening” for
me. I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear the question “Does the room
get brighter when I enter or when I leave?” – both personally and
professionally I needed an attitude adjustment – for that I thank you. That
question now greets me every morning ….and throughout the day….just
wanted you to know. Happy holidays to you and your family.

Hello All! It is a rainy day here in Georgia and I need to start catching up on this blog. Part of my computer work for Dad today was typing up all his “Conference Session Evaluation” sheets. I was so happy to read and type them in and over whelmed with the generosity and kind words that spoke virtue to my Dad’s name. I am so glad people out in the world appreciate my Dad as much as my family and I do. Thank you to everyone.

Dear Kirk, I have thorougly enjoyed your presentations this week. I also enjoyed meeting Brittany and Jacob. While watching you each morning, I have watched your kids also. And while it is easy to see that you are a very gifted leader, it is even far more apparent that you are a terrific dad which will be-and is- your most accomplished gift. Thank you, Tom Nicholson

Dear Kirk, Tuesday morning started off with some personal challenges that caused me to miss most of your talk. This morning I was determined to be in attendance no matter what. I knew that my spirits would be lifted quick by a smile, or something you would say, or even better, watching a reaction from your kids as a result of something you said or did. Thank you for lifting my spirits and helping me find the sun behind the clouds. -Ricky Pierce

Kirk, a quick note on my personal observations… for what they are worth. Your greatest success is seen through the eyes of your children. In there eyes I saw pride, admiration, and most importantly love. Thank you for allowing me to see this. You are blessed! -Gina Smolensky
